Welcome to Feathers and Rust Studio.
Based in Cockatoo Valley, South Australia, I create handcrafted metal sculptures and wall art inspired by Australian birds, wildlife and natural forms. Each piece begins as raw steel and is carefully shaped and finished by hand, allowing the material and the subject to guide the final form.
I work primarily with reclaimed steel and Corten steel, materials that develop rich, natural rust textures as they weather. Some pieces are left to rust naturally, while others are enhanced with painted finishes that highlight detail and movement.
My work includes wall-hung bird and wildlife pieces, freestanding garden sculptures and larger outdoor statement works. I also create abstract metal artworks that explore shape, balance, light and shadow.
Custom commissions are welcome, allowing clients to collaborate on unique pieces inspired by a favourite bird, place or idea.
